Dewberry is currently seeking a Water Resources Project Manager to work with our Transportation Group in our Owings Mills, MD office. The selected candidate will lead projects and mentor design teams responsible for stormwater management, drainage design, erosion and sediment control, watershed planning, and hydraulic modeling for bridges and major culverts across various delivery methods for transportation projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience

8+ years of experience in water resources engineering for transportation projects

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field

Licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, or the ability to obtain licensure within 12 months

Strong written and oral communication skills with proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience preparing plans, technical reports, and engineering calculations

Strong knowledge of water resources engineering, including drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, stream restoration, bridge scour, outfall design, and TMDL requirements

Assist in developing scope and fee proposals

Exhibited client coordination skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Participation in project pursuits and other business development efforts

Proficiency in MicroStation. Familiarity with InRoads or OpenRoads Designer preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Office products including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Maryland Department of Transportation Modals, Maryland counties, and local municipalities

Experience working with MDE, Familiarity with SHA guidelines and procedures is beneficial

Proficiency with hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) modeling software including TR-20, TR-55, HydroCAD and HY-8. Experience in ABSCOUR, HEC-18, HY-8, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS desired but not required

The salary range for this position is 114,000 to 147,000
