About the role
Laser Safety Officer (LSO) Redmond, WA (Onsite) 6 + Months $75-90/HR
Requirements
- 5+ years as an LSO Strong knowledge of ANSI Z136.1, IEC 60825/62471, FLPPS, CDPH X-Ray regs Bachelor's in physics, Optical Sciences, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent LSO/RSO experience).
Role
Support laser/radiation safety through lab audits, exposure calculations, SOP reviews, and X-ray compliance. Cross-functional work with R&D and product teams across Sunnyvale, Burlingame, and Fremont labs (occasional Redmond travel).
