About the role

As a Snowflake-centric Data Engineer at Diacto Technologies, your role will involve building and optimizing modern data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work with technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, and GitHub, leveraging your expertise in SQL, Python, and data modeling for scalable analytics solutions. This is a full-time position with Hybrid & Remote work options. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows on GCP and Snowflake - Develop modular data models using DBT aligned with analytics and reporting requirements - Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow for reliable data movement - Write efficient SQL and Python scripts for automation and performance optimization - Define and enforce data quality, lineage, and governance practices - Integrate GitHub for CI/CD and version control of data pipelines - Optimize Snowflake performance and ensure cost-efficient, scalable ELT workflows - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable end-to-end data delivery Qualifications: - B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline - MCS/MCA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred As an ideal candidate for this role, you should have 36 years of experience in data engineering or cloud data development. Your hands-on expertise should include Snowflake (data warehouse design, tuning, ELT), proficiency in DBT, Airflow, and GitHub, and experience with GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, or Dataflow. Advanced SQL and Python skills, along with a deep understanding of data modeling principles, are essential. Additionally, certifications in Snowflake, DBT, or Google Cloud Platform would be a plus.
