About the role
Position Description Work closely with product managers and developers to understand the product roadmap and product specifications to help determine the right test strategy; Assess complexity in writing tests (functional, integration, system, performance, scalability, resource leaks), provide estimates and identify risks in timely completion; Build and Maintain Smoke Test Suites (and test cases) that cover core areas of the product; Update every release with feedback from stakeholders. Build and Maintain Regression Test Suites (and test cases) that maximize product testing coverage. Effectively communicate coverage. Update every release w/ feedback from stakeholders and dev owners; Formulate test architecture and design, development, maintenance of test frameworks (SOA, web, mobile, ETL); Maintain critical initiatives on testing strategies; Assess quality risks of complex solutions, build appropriate test strategy to mitigate risks; Develop/oversee the development of test activities estimates, resource plans, costs, benefits, and timelines for the program; Drive root-cause analysis and work with cross functional teams to implement corrective actions; and Research emerging test tools, trends and methodologies and enhance existing systems and processes. Review User Requirements, User Interface Specifications and Design Documents; preparing Test Plan and Procedure Documentation along with preparing and executing Test Automation Scripts; executing certification testing, report defects and release day checkout; reviewing business and functional requirements; develop, publish, and implement test plans and test cases; write and maintain test automation preferred; involved in developing quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Relocation/ telecommuting may be required plus travel to various unanticipated client locations within the United States for short and long term assignments. Languages, skills and tools JAVA, Shell Script, PL/SQL, SQL, Java Script, Power Shell, Oracle, SQL Server 2000, MySQL, MongoDB, Windows, UNIX, LINUX, Eclipse , Selenium, HP Quality Center, JIRA, HP QTP/UFT, Load Runner, SQL Developer, TOAD, TestNG, Cucumber, JMeter, RestAssured, SoapUI, Fiddler, Postman, Jenkins, Git. Education Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Engineering (Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics). Will accept Bachelors in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Engineering (Computer Science & Engineering/Electronics) plus five (5) years of progressive experience in related fields in lieu of Masters Degree. Will accept foreign education equivalent.
