About the role
As a Web Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world web projects, collaborating with design and marketing teams to enhance user experiences through functional and visually engaging websites. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining responsive websites using WordPress and Shopify. - Customizing themes and templates to align with brand guidelines and campaign requirements. - Implementing UI/UX best practices in collaboration with design and digital marketing teams, ensuring SEO-friendly structures. - Performing performance testing, bug fixing, and site optimization tasks. - Integrating third-party tools such as tracking pixels, forms, payment gateways, and APIs. - Updating website content, product listings, banners, and plugins/extensions regularly. - Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness for all web pages. - Assisting in technical SEO tasks, website audits, and setting up tracking tools like Google Analytics and Search Console. - Staying updated with web development trends and e-commerce technologies to suggest improvements. Qualifications & Skills required for this role: - Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress and Shopify. - Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility. - Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Passion for web development and digital innovation.
