About the role
As a skilled Mobile App Tester with 35 years of experience in testing Android and iOS applications, your role will involve ensuring that our mobile applications deliver a seamless, secure, and reliable experience to both business owners and consumers. Experience in utility or b2c, b2b apps like Justdial or Indiamart will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities for Mobile App Tester: - Perform manual and automated testing of Android and iOS mobile applications. - Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans. - Execute test cases, identify bugs, and track them to closure using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. - Conduct functional, regression, UI/UX, performance, and security testing. - Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX teams, and product managers for timely delivery. - Validate app compatibility across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions. - Ensure compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store guidelines. - Document test findings and provide regular quality reports to stakeholders. - Participate in release planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement activities. - Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. - 35 years of proven experience in mobile app testing (both Android & iOS). - Hands-on experience with tools like Appium, Selenium, TestFlight, Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, etc. - Strong knowledge of mobile automation frameworks. - Familiarity with REST APIs, Postman, and backend data validations. - Knowledge of B2C, B2B app, electricity billing, utility domain, or smart meter apps (preferred). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment. Nice to Have: - ISTQB Certification or equivalent. - Experience in security testing and data privacy compliance. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise. - Understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel).
