Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer with strong experience in Python, Flask, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to build and maintain scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications. The role involves developing APIs, automation workflows, distributed backend services, and AI-integrated platforms while ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate should have experience working with cloud infrastructure, asynchronous processing, backend optimization, and modern development workflows. This role requires collaboration with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver secure and efficient backend solutions. Roles & Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Flask Build secure and high-performance REST APIs and backend services Design and manage cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Work with Firestore, Datastore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Task Queues, and Redis Develop distributed systems and asynchronous backend processing workflows Build backend systems supporting AI-driven automation platforms Integrate third-party APIs and cloud-based services Optimize backend application performance, scalability, and reliability Monitor applications and troubleshoot production issues Collaborate with frontend engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented backend code Support CI/CD workflows and Git-based development processes Apply backend security best practices and API protection standards Participate in deployment, debugging, and infrastructure improvement activities Support cloud performance optimization and backend automation initiatives Contribute to scalable architecture planning and backend workflow improvements Required Skills Strong proficiency in Python and Flask Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Experience with Firestore, Datastore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, and Redis Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend integrations Knowledge of distributed systems and asynchronous processing Experience building scalable backend applications and automation systems Familiarity with AI or machine learning-based application integrations Understanding of backend testing, monitoring, and performance optimization Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and backend infrastructure Experience with Git workflows and version control systems Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills Good communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work independently and manage backend ownership Preferred Skills Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployment environments Experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments Knowledge of cloud security and scalable infrastructure practices Exposure to web scraping and backend automation systems Understanding of backend observability and monitoring tools Experience working in startup or fast-paced engineering environments Interest in modern cloud technologies and backend engineering tools Education & Qualifications B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related fields BCA / MCA / B.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent qualifications Certifications in GCP, Python, Cloud Computing, or DevOps are a plus Candidates with hands-on backend projects, GitHub repositories, or cloud deployment experience will be preferred Technology: Python GCP REST APIs Flask Redis Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Delhi Noida Gurugram Work Mode: Offsite Experience: 1 to 3 Years
