Key Responsibilities Application Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP. Build secure, high-performance backend systems and business logic. Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Backend Development & API Integration Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication services, and external systems. Develop reusable backend modules and service-oriented architectures. Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication. Optimize API performance, scalability, and reliability. Database Management Design, develop, and maintain relational databases using MySQL or MariaDB. Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions. Ensure database normalization, integrity, and consistency. Optimize database performance through indexing and query tuning. Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. Application Maintenance & Performance Optimization Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues. Monitor application health and improve overall system performance. Optimize application speed, scalability, and resource utilization. Implement caching strategies to improve application responsiveness. Upgrade existing applications with new features and enhancements. Testing & Quality Assurance Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure software quality. Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing. Identify bugs and implement effective fixes. Ensure applications meet quality, reliability, and security requirements. Security & Compliance Implement secure coding practices to prevent application vulnerabilities. Protect applications against SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF), and other common security threats. Conduct regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies. Implement secure authentication, encryption, and access control mechanisms. Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with frontend developers, designers, QA engineers, and project managers. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions. Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and development guides. Document APIs, workflows, and implementation details.
