We are actively seeking a dedicated Powertrain Engineer with specialized expertise in motors and controllers and battery packs for two-wheeler applications. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of powertrain systems, particularly focusing on motor and controller modeling, sizing, simulation, selection, and tuning. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Architect and design powertrain systems with a focus on battery pack + BMS, motor and controller integration for optimal vehicle performance. Lead the motor and controller modelling, sizing, and selection processes, ensuring the components meet desired performance and efficiency metrics. Conduct detailed simulations to predict system behaviour under various riding conditions and scenarios. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the motor and controller within the overall powertrain system. Spearhead the tuning of motor controllers to achieve desired torque, speed, and efficiency profiles. Work with suppliers on battery pack modelling, sizing and parameterization, ensuring optimal system integration. Stay updated with the latest advancements in motor and controller technologies, simulation tools, and integration methodologies. Ensure that the selected motor and controller, battery pack + BMS components align with the overall vehicle requirements and performance objectives. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the integrated powertrain system to guarantee its performance under diverse conditions. Qualifications and Skills: B.Tech or M.Tech or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in motor and controller modelling, sizing, simulation, and tuning methodologies. Comprehensive understanding of modern powertrain systems, with a focus on electric and hybrid vehicles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at liaising with various teams and stakeholders. Minimum of 5 years in powertrain engineering, with a demonstrable portfolio in motor and controller domain. Proven track record in motor and controller modelling, sizing, simulation, selection, and tuning for automotive applications.
