About the role
Develop and maintain COBOL, JCL, and DB2-based mainframe applications. Analyze, design, and implement enhancements to existing systems. Debug and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Work with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements. Perform unit testing and participate in system/integration testing. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to standards and best practices. Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals. Monitor batch jobs and ensure smooth daily operations. Participate in production support and on-call rotations as needed
