About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications for a federal agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and deploy features and enhancements across front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (Python/FastAPI) layers

Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI with proper validation, error handling, versioning, and OpenAPI documentation

Develop responsive, accessible front-end interfaces using ReactJS in adherence to Section 508 accessibility requirements

Implement and manage data models, queries, migrations, and stored procedures in PostgreSQL

Operate within a trunk-based development workflow; commit small incremental changes frequently and use short-lived feature branches and feature flags

Package applications using Docker; support deployment of containerized workloads to AWS environments

Write and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests using pytest, Jest, and React Testing Library

Maintain technical documentation, including API docs, data model diagrams, architecture decision records, and developer guides

Qualifications

• Required Skills & Certifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and Docker

• Sufficient familiarity with AWS cloud services to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications

• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience in a collaborative, team-based engineering environment

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline concepts and IaC tooling such as Terraform and GitHub Actions

• Experience developing applications in a federal or regulated environment

• Familiarity with Section 508 web accessibility standards

• Clearance Requirements: Public Trust Clearance

• Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen
