Lead Software Engineer, Agreement Platform and Integrations

As a Lead Software Engineer at Docusign, you will be part of a team in Bangalore working on an architectural shift to scale for future growth. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing development tasks as a key contributor by consistently delivering complex engineering projects - Articulating clear Software Engineering strategies, plans, goals, and objectives across multiple Engineering domains - Guiding and mentoring other engineers through all facets of engineering and product building - Identifying, proposing, and implementing process improvements to increase team productivity and efficiency - Staying current with the latest development best practices and sharing findings with the team - Taking full ownership of components from development to testing to performance tuning - Leading troubleshooting and remediation quickly during high severity incidents - Contributing to and driving a culture of building scalable and highly available systems - Researching new features and technologies - Thinking about how to solve problems at scale and build fault-tolerant systems - Leading self and others through new concept development and implementation - Delivering on the most complex and foundational layers of design and code - Being responsible for sharing and adoption of best practices for performance and availability in one or more functional areas Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or 8 years related experience with a Masters degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience - Back end development experience - Proficiency in modern server-side development using modern programming languages like .NET, JVM (Java/Scala), NodeJS, or others - Experience with NoSQL and SQL - Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies - Experience working with scalable microservices - Experience making improvements to existing large code bases - Experience using Git or other version control systems - Fluency in English both verbal and written Preferred Qualifications: - Passion for new technologies - Experience working for a SaaS company - Experience working independently and in team environments as needed - A track record of being a self-starter - Experience with React/Typescript - Practical experience with Cloud technologies like Azure, Kubernetes, AWS, etc - Experience in designing and implementing RPC protocols - Strong interest or documented experience in large scale microservice architectures - Focus on writing high-quality code that is easy to maintain and read by others - Strong understanding and experience in agile methodologies Joining Docusign means being part of a team committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for employees, customers, and communities.
