About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-performance data models optimized for reporting purposes using tools like Power BI and SSRS. Your expertise will be required in every stage of the project life cycle, including design, analysis, implementation, and testing. You will research technical problems, analyze business requirements, evaluate design approaches, and create technical processes to meet business needs. Estimating and documenting work effort will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with data engineers to develop and manage stored procedures and views - Provide viable long-term solutions for business data concerns - Offer technical support and mentorship to team members - Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and Power BI Report Builder - Create reusable and scalable data models and OLAP cubes - Work with technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Service - Create advanced DAX queries/functions for business queries - Develop SQL Queries, Stored procedures, and optimize SQL Queries to support reports - Manage Power BI Apps, Workspaces, and User access - Implement row level security (RLS) and application security layer models in Power BI - Create Automated workflows using Power Automate - Work in an agile environment using Azure DevOps - Hands-on technical experience with programming in Python / R Qualifications Required: - College/University Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering - Power BI / Azure certifications (PL-300, AZ-900, AZ-204, AZ-303, AZ-304, or AZ-400) - 5-8 years of experience Skills: - Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling - Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure SQL database - Programming skills in Spark SQL, Python, R - Data Visualization using Power BI, SSRS, SSAS - Analytic Problem-Solving abilities In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-performance data models optimized for reporting purposes using tools like Power BI and SSRS.
