About the role
Key responsibilities
- Execution of Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of port equipment. Working knowledge in Siemens PLC & Drives is desirable.
- Routine inspections on equipment and corrective actions thereafter.
- Attend breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipment.
- Reporting of jobs after completion.
- Undertake any specific task / responsibility assigned by Sr. Executives/Asst. Manager/Manager
- Assist the SIC in managing the shift when required.
- Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed.
- Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement process and to the meeting of relevant objectives and targets.
- Observe the provisions of IGT’s management system.
- Housekeeping in workplace/Equipment
- In the absence of Sr. Executive, take the responsibility of Sr. Executive when informed by higher authorities
- Ensure, recording of the jobs, manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook. Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff
- Ensure compliance and implementation: • OH&S Rules and Regulations. • Hazard and Risk Management • Accident Reports • IGT’s Standard Operating Procedures. • Work permits
Qualifications & Competencies
- BE/B. Tech in Electrical or Diploma in Electrical with relevant experience. 2. In case of BE/B. Tech, at least 3 years relevant experience in heavy lift equipment / container handling equipment, in the case of Diploma holders, at least 5 years of relevant experience.
