About the role
The Global Supply Chain solutions market is rapidly growing, has multiple customer segments (drivers, recipients, shippers, port operators, ocean liners, property managers and storage owners) and is extremely dynamic business. DP World is investing in the next generation of supply chain solutions.
Our systems should be flexible, adaptable to respond to the business needs, deliver a consistent experience for multiple customer segments, simplify the process and help in rapidly resolving the customer issues. As part of the Global Technology team, you’ll be working with fellow data scientists and software engineers to create new services as well as enabling customers to use existing supply chain solutions in new and exciting ways. This means there are a lot of new areas we will be exploring, lots of new design and research, and lots of new products and solutions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Work closely with the Business, Product and Technology teams to develop world class systems and processes.
Leverage business context, data analytics including statistical modelling and data science skills to define the business problem to be solved, develop methodology and roadmap, and formulate solution approaches.
Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
Simplify and automate reporting and other data-driven activities; build solutions to have maximum scale.
Proactively identify improvement opportunities and understand how our users interact with our products through systematic and rigorous measurement and analysis.
Develop a deep understanding of specific areas of the business and the key metrics to measure the performance of the product.
OTHER Participate and contribute to data discussions with the goal to enrich data and business understanding.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related discipline from a reputed institute or an MBA from a reputed institute Having 7+ years hands-on experience with Product and Business analytics, preferably in logistics domain Strong business acumen Expert knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Python. Good grasp of A/B testing , statistics, and application of data science algorithms. Experience with building dashboards in power BI/ Tableau or other data visualization tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intellectual curiosity and high motivation to solve challenging problem
