The position requires regular in-person presence at working sessions and involves converting open-ended research tasks into typed, measurable decision pipelines. Why Join Us? Lead architecture decisions for cutting-edge AI systems in a regulated financial services environment Work with production LLM systems at scale on AWS Bedrock or equivalent platforms Drive measurable impact through evaluation engineering and gold-set strategies Mentor teams while championing a culture of rigor, velocity, and auditable AI Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end architecture of the Disposition Engine including item ledger, deterministic evidence-pack assembly, rule ladder, AI reasoning tier, validation harness, and closed feedback loop Scale the existing Detection Engine architecture and decide per problem what requires deterministic versus probabilistic approaches Design cross-workstream coupling for schema dispositions cascading into batch jobs and code findings Lead design working sessions, converting ambiguity into structured decision spaces with measurable burn-down Own gold-set evaluation strategy and metrics including auto-disposition rate, accuracy, human-minutes per item, and cost per item Drive design-to-code by writing production code, reviewing PRs, and overseeing testing across the pod Qualifications 10+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated impact designing and deploying production AI systems at scale Expert-level Python with production-grade experience in agentic/multi-agent architecture and orchestration (LangGraph or equivalent) Strong background in typed state, tool contracts, context and prompt engineering, and evaluation engineering Experience with RAG, code/knowledge-graph design, and retrieval-pipeline design and tuning Production LLM systems experience at scale on AWS (Bedrock) or equivalent platforms Demonstrable judgment on deterministic versus probabilistic system design with systems where models were deliberately kept out of critical paths Spec-driven development experience and power user of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) Outstanding written and verbal articulation skills Ready to Apply?
