The ideal candidate will have strong experience in embedded systems, low-level programming, and hardware-software integration. This role requires working onsite in California. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for hardware devices. Work closely with hardware, software, and validation teams throughout the product lifecycle. Debug and optimize firmware performance for reliability and efficiency. Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure robust firmware quality. Support product development from initial design through production release. Document firmware architecture, implementation details, and technical specifications. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development. Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded systems. Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS (FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr, or similar), or bare-metal development. Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex, Microcontrollers (MCUs), SoCs, or DSPs. Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, or Bluetooth. Ability to read schematics and work closely with hardware engineers. Experience using debugging tools such as JTAG, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, and GDB. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Preferred: Experience with device drivers, bootloaders, secure boot, firmware updates (OTA), and power management. Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Ready to Apply?
