This role supports established banking systems and focuses on maintaining and enhancing core mainframe applications that are critical to transactional processing and regulatory compliance. Competitive hourly rate with long-term contract opportunity supporting core banking applications Hands-on work on proven mainframe technologies with experienced technical teams Opportunities to contribute to high-impact projects in a regulated financial environment Collaborative on-site team setting that values clear communication and problem solving Key Responsibilities Design, develop and implement robust mainframe solutions to support business requirements and operational efficiency Prepare architecture and design documents for complex banking applications and translate designs into production-quality code Develop secure, maintainable COBOL/CICS code and integrate with VSAM, DB2 and IMS-based subsystems Troubleshoot production and test issues, work with product teams and stakeholders to analyze and decompose complex requirements Assist in building and maintaining test regions and participate in release/version control activities Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, CICS and DB2 Practical experience with MQ Series and IMS DB integration and CICS screen programming Familiarity with version control systems and test region setup; proven software development lifecycle practices Experience in banking, compliance or regulatory platforms is a plus; excellent problem-solving and communication skills required Ready to Apply?
