It is well suited to professionals who are comfortable managing backups and restores, capacity and performance, and collaborating with vendor partners to meet SLAs and improve operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced support for z/OS and Mainframe environments, including incident and service request resolution. Plan and execute Mainframe migrations, LPAR and MIPS administration, and datacentre transitions. Manage backup to tape and restore processes and validate recovery procedures. Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to meet operational SLAs. Coordinate with vendor partners to uphold SLAs and improve reporting and operational procedures. Participate in upgrade projects and maintain documentation and runbooks for Mainframe operations. Qualifications 8–15 years of hands-on Mainframe system programming or administration experience. Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent technical degree preferred. Strong knowledge of z/OS, LPAR and MIPS technologies and remote administration practices. Experience with Mainframe backup and restore procedures and datacentre migration design. Demonstrated experience in capacity and performance management and SLA-driven operations. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and vendor-management skills.
