The position involves critical infrastructure work supporting customer engagements across Hawaii time zone operations. Why Join Us? Work on high-priority, critical infrastructure projects with enterprise-level impact Flexible remote work arrangement with competitive hourly compensation Opportunity to extend engagement beyond initial 2-month term Collaborate with experienced network security professionals on complex migrations Contribute to mission-critical security implementations for major organizations Key Responsibilities Collect and analyze current-state configurations from Panorama, PA5220s edge devices, and HA pairs including VPN/GlobalProtect components Review routing configurations, interfaces, zones, Virtual Routers, and multi-vsys implementations Confirm target PAN-OS alignment considerations and establish comprehensive migration plans with rollback procedures Draft detailed cut-over plans and validation checklists for each data center location Create Low Level Designs documenting target configurations on PA5520 HA pairs Define GlobalProtect/VPN service continuity plans and site-to-site VPN configurations Develop Product Acceptance Test Plans and detailed Methods of Procedure for data center cutovers Build and stage target configurations while validating parity with current-state behavior Migrate and consolidate configurations ensuring seamless service continuity Validate GlobalProtect and site-to-site VPN services post-cutover with HA failover confirmation Qualifications 5-10 years of hands-on experience implementing Palo Alto NGFW firewalls in enterprise environments Strong expertise in enterprise networking including routers, switches, firewalls, and routing protocols Experience with large-scale NGFW migrations including LLD development and cutover support procedures Proficiency in GlobalProtect VPN and site-to-site VPN development and migration projects Experience developing security policies, UTM traffic rules, and access controls within NGFW environments Background in developing application ID configurations and custom App ID implementations Strong documentation skills for creating Low Level Designs, Acceptance Test Plans, and Methods of Procedure Ability to work during Hawaii time zone hours with no visa restrictions West Coast candidates preferred for optimal time zone alignment Ready to Apply?
