About the role
As a Java Microservices & Azure APIM Administrator, your role involves administering, supporting, and maintaining Java Microservices and Azure API Management (APIM) environments across production and non-production systems. You will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Spring Boot microservices and API gateway components. Your responsibilities will include managing API lifecycle activities in Azure APIM, deploying and monitoring containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), configuring Kubernetes resources, monitoring application health, building CI/CD pipelines, automating operational tasks, implementing API security standards, troubleshooting production incidents, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for smooth deployments. Key Responsibilities: - Administer, support, and maintain Java Microservices and Azure API Management (APIM) environments - Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Spring Boot microservices and API gateway components - Manage API lifecycle activities in Azure APIM - Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) - Configure and manage Kubernetes resources - Monitor application health, API performance, logs, and system availability - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, deployment, and release management - Automate operational tasks, deployments, health checks, and monitoring using scripts - Implement and maintain API security standards - Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth deployments and production readiness - Perform performance tuning, JVM optimization, capacity planning, and system stability improvements - Support cloud-native deployments and infrastructure management in Azure/AWS environments - Manage SSL certificates, secrets, environment configurations, and compliance/security-related activities - Support release management activities and maintain operational documentation - Ensure platform stability, reliability, scalability, and SLA adherence - Participate in on-call support, critical incident management, and production support activities - Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, platform optimization, and operational efficiency Qualifications Required: - 610+ years of experience in Java Microservices Support/Middleware Administration/API Management/Production Support for enterprise applications - Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, API Management platforms, application servers, containers, orchestration platforms, CI/CD tools, Linux/Unix administration, and scripting - Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift administration, monitoring and observability tools, deployment automation, DevOps practices, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, REST/SOAP APIs, API Gateway concepts, API Security, networking fundamentals, Kubernetes concepts, high availability concepts, and database concepts This job will provide you with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of enterprise systems in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
