Testing Engineer (Manual & Automated)

As a Testing Engineer (Manual/Automated) at SHANTAM, II/25, Dr.VSI Estate, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 600 041, your role involves conducting software testing with a focus on Blackbox or manual testing. You are expected to have a strong understanding of test management and defect tools, along with proficiency in basic Unix skills and SQL querying. Additionally, you may be required to possess skills related to automating test suites and performing Performance testing. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare test plans - Analyze the Functional specs and design test cases - Execute test suites/test cases - Find and log defects - Verify the test environment and conduct sanity testing - Automate test cases - Verify fixes - Develop a regression test plan - Utilize Test Management and Defect tools effectively Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Blackbox or manual testing - Knowledge of test management and defect tools - Basic Unix skills and SQL querying - Ability to automate test suites - Experience in Performance testing In addition to the specified responsibilities and qualifications, you may also be working with various test tools including Quality Center (HP ALM QC), ClearQuest, QA Complete, Bugzilla, PVCS, QTP, Selenium, Load Runner, Silk Performer, and Rational Load. Familiarity with these tools will be beneficial in fulfilling your duties effectively.
