About the role
Coordinates supplier development activities with assigned suppliers to ensure high-quality products. Leads advanced product quality planning activities to resolve design, gauging, manufacturing, assembly, and packaging issues. Conducts launch readiness reviews with suppliers to determine production readiness before start-of-production. Supports cost reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives with suppliers. Evaluates supplier development plans/programs and recommends opportunities for improvement. Implements strategic Supplier Development plans/programs approved by corporate quality and purchasing. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE). Possesses strong knowledge of APQP application, global supplier quality assurance manual, and launch readiness review assessments. Demonstrates excellent communication and mentoring skills to coach and mentor project liaisons. Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate supplier performance data. Displays strong business acumen and commitment towards achieving corporate objectives and goals. Ensures legal, regulatory, health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to.
