IT Administrator Job Profile The IT Administrator role provides day to day management of servers, networks, endpoints and related services to support business operations. The post holder will monitor system performance, apply updates, administer user accounts and maintain backups to reduce downtime and protect data. The purpose of the role is to deliver reliable, secure and documented IT services, respond to incidents and requests promptly, and contribute to continual improvement of infrastructure reliability and operational practices. IT Administrator Job Description The IT Administrator is responsible for routine maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of systems and network components. The role requires responding to user incidents and service requests, performing system health checks, applying patches and updates, and maintaining backup and recovery procedures. The post holder will ensure changes are documented and follow agreed change control and incident management processes. Work is carried out in an operational IT setting with regular interaction across teams and stakeholders.
