Sdet Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Playwright , Webdriver IO , and Java Selenium . Implement and maintain BDD test automation using Cucumber . Develop and execute automated tests for web applications, REST APIs, and back-end systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps to ensure high-quality releases. Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines). Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner. Ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective bug tracking and reporting. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years hands-on experience with Playwright for UI automation (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred). Strong knowledge and scripting experience with JavaScript or TypeScript . Proficiency in Java Selenium and Webdriver IO frameworks. Cucumber BDD framework expertise for behavior-driven testing. Experience with API automation and tools like Postman , REST Assured , or native JS/TS frameworks. Proficient in writing SQL queries and working with MS SQL Server . Familiarity with version control tools such as Azure DevOps , GitHub , or Bitbucket . Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cypress is a plus. Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Exposure to performance or security testing is a bonus. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
