About the role
As an experienced Network Administrator with 3-6 years of experience, your role will involve managing and maintaining network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. You will be responsible for monitoring network performance to ensure availability, reliability, and security. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity. - Implementing and maintaining firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security measures. - Performing regular network backups and disaster recovery operations. - Managing IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). - Supporting network hardware/software upgrades, patches, and documentation. - Coordinating with vendors and service providers for network-related issues. - Providing technical support to end-users for network and connectivity problems. - Maintaining network policies, procedures, and compliance with IT security standards. Key Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3-5 years of proven experience in network administration. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, and network protocols. - Experience with firewalls (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Palo Alto), switches, and routers. - Hands-on experience with VPNs, load balancers, and wireless networks. - Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc. - Knowledge of Windows/Linux networking environments. - Familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus. - Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are preferred.
