About the role
As a Java Developer in this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java, specifically with Spring Boot or similar frameworks. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product managers to deliver integrated solutions. - Writing clean, maintainable, and effective code following best practices and coding standards. - Integrating with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and third-party APIs/services. - Conducting code reviews, writing unit/integration tests, and participating in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning). - Ensuring performance, security, and scalability of backend services. - Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance. - Maintaining and documenting technical architecture and system design. - Having knowledge of Flexcube UBS on Bills, LC, and Loans module will be an advantage. Qualifications required for this position: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, particularly in backend API development. - Proficiency in Java 8+ and frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security. - Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and best practices. - Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
