About the role
- Full time permanent role - Attractive compensation - Working from office in Angamaly, Kochi. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical and administrative support by maintaining engineering documentation, preparing CAD drawings and responding to engineering support enquiries. Purpose of the role: This role will support engineering, sales, manufacturing and operations teams of a manufacturing company by preparing CAD drawings, responding to technical enquiries and producing accurate engineering documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to internal engineering and product support enquiries. - Provide technical information relating to products, assemblies, components and parts. - Prepare and update 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks. - Produce manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and exploded views. - Update drawings and documentation following approved design changes. - Create, update and maintain engineering documentation. - Prepare technical reports, spreadsheets, product guides and work instructions. - Assist with installation instructions, technical manuals and product documentation. - Support engineering, sales, manufacturing and customer service teams with accurate technical information. - Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation in line with company standards. - Escalate matters requiring engineering approval or more complex design review. - Manage multiple technical requests and priorities independently. Essential requirements: - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering. - 1-5 years' experience in an engineering support, technical support, CAD drafting or technical documentation role. - Proficiency using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. - Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation. - Excellent attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. - Solid customer service and problem-solving skills. .
