About the role
Job Description - Design Engineer-Mechanical Equipment Key Responsibilities - Experience / exposure to basic and detailed engineering of Mechanical works - Preparation of Hydraulic Calculation, Pump Head Calculation, and Pipe Size Calculation - Knowledge on equipment selection for Pumps, Blowers, Mixers, Process equipment, SBR, digestors, gas holders, decanters, dosing system, Hydrolysis process, UV, Chlorination system, Heat Exchangers, HVAC system, Firefighting etc - Review of Mechanical Gas - Knowledge of Piping/Equipment support design, Design of platforms and pipe racks - Preparation of Equipment / System layouts, technical evaluation of Vendor offers etc - Knowledge of selection of material (MOC) of various components of equipment, pump head- system head curves calculations, preparation of BOQ's with specification - Checking vendor s equipment drawing & Technical specification as per tender requirement /client requirement - Meeting with Client and other stakeholders to get approval of the design, drawings and all other technical documents required to complete the project smoothly - Knowledge of design of piping system - 3D modelling with clash detection - Able to adopt cost effective / cost saving design - Capable of handling a small team Qualifications - BE / B Tech or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience of 4- 7 years - Experience on using piping software like Cadmatic, Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks - Proficient in using various Indian design codes and standards - Experience of working in EPC / consultancy organization - Design experience in water/wastewater treatment sector will be preferred
