Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer L2 at our company, your role will involve configuring, monitoring, and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls. You will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, implementing security policies, and ensuring network performance optimization. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. - Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and maintain service level agreements (SLAs). - Implement network security policies and firewall rules to safeguard the organizations IT assets. - Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and traffic analysis. - Assist in the deployment and configuration of new network hardware and software. - Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and processes. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network upgrades and projects. - Support incident management and provide escalation support for complex network issues. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - B.Tech / B.E / B.Sc. in Computer Science / IT / ECE engineering, BCA. - Proven experience with router, switch, and firewall configuration and management. - Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP). - Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network performance issues. - Understanding of network security principles and best practices. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto/Checkpoint, or similar are a plus.
