Programmer Analyst, JOB ID: SASM142P ECOM Consulting Inc. has multiple openings for the position of Programmer Analyst with M.S.in Computer Science, Engineering (any branch), or any related field and I yr of experience in the job offered with ability and/or experience to perform the duties listed below, or 1 yr of experience in data analysis or data processing with Teradata SQL Assistant, SQL, SAS, VBA, and Unix Shell. Duties: Develop complex software applications; modify existing software to correct errors; Prepare software requirements specification document; analyze computer software applications using Teradata, SAS, SQL, Oracle 9i/8.ill.x, UNIX Shell Scripts, Data Warehouse, OLAP models, MS Analysis Server, SQL Server 2000, Metadata, Designer/Developer 2000; Prepare new data sets from raw data files by using Import techniques; review requirements for data sets and variable definitions; Handle large quantities of raw data and prepare tables and also use descriptive statistics and constructed multiple linear regressions in SAS; Preparing new data sets from raw data files by using Import techniques; Extract data from flat files, Excel spreadsheets and external RDBMS, manage backup, perform software needs and upgrades, resolve problems.
