Business Analyst - Banking - Data & Reporting

Job Summary The Banking Business Analyst Data & Reporting is responsible for supporting data analysis, reporting, and management information initiatives within the banking domain. The role involves gathering and translating business requirements into data-driven insights, designing MIS and regulatory reports, and working closely with IT and BI teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with reporting tools, and a solid understanding of banking products and processes across retail, corporate, treasury, or operations functions. Must-Have Skills (Mandatory) 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services sectorStrong expertise in data analysis, reporting, and management information systemsHands-on experience with advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL (basic to intermediate)Experience using reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platformsStrong understanding of banking products and processes across Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Risk, or OperationsExperience working with data warehouses, data marts, or enterprise MIS environmentsProven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into analytical solutionsExperience preparing BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, and data mapping documentsStrong stakeholder communication and coordination skills Good-to-Have Skills (Optional) Experience supporting regulatory and compliance reportingExposure to UAT planning, execution, and data validation activitiesKnowledge of data governance, data quality, and information security standardsExperience with reconciliation processes and variance analysisFamiliarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, IT, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in the banking domainExperience working with cross-functional teams including IT, data, and BI teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced banking environment .
