What you'll do Build and ship features in a cross-platform Electron desktop application for macOS and Windows Work across the main and renderer processes — IPC design, preload scripts, context isolation, and secure defaults Integrate with native OS capabilities: audio devices, file system access, notifications, system tray, global shortcuts, background processes, permissions Handle packaging, code signing, notarization (macOS), and auto-update pipelines Profile and optimise startup time, memory footprint, and CPU usage Debug platform-specific issues that only reproduce on one OS Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to translate requirements into a polished desktop experience

What we're looking for

2 years of professional experience building and shipping desktop applications with Electron Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and hands-on production experience with React Working knowledge of native macOS and Windows application development — how each platform handles permissions, sandboxing, background execution, installers, and update mechanisms Experience bridging Electron to native code via Swift on macOS and C# on Windows Understanding of Electron's security model and its common pitfalls Experience with build and release tooling: electron-builder or electron-forge, CI pipelines, signing certificates Comfort with debugging across processes and across operating systems
