As an Intern - BI&A Data Analyst at Lilly, you will have the opportunity to join the Business Insights & Analytics team for a 6-month internship. Your role will involve working on real business problems using modern analytics tools, AI-powered workflows, and governed data products in a leading pharmaceutical company. Key Responsibilities: - Develop familiarity with commercial data sources and access and build governed datasets using Gold Layer/semantic layer assets in Databricks Unity Catalog. - Deliver high-quality analytical outputs across the commercial value chain, including patient journey, segmentation, targeting, channel spend, and persistency. Translate findings into clear business insights and recommendations for brand and commercial teams. - Build and maintain performance dashboards and reports covering brand performance, market monitoring, launch trackers, and KAM/Institutional analytics using Power BI. - Apply Generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) to accelerate analysis, draft insight summaries, and explore agentic approaches to automate routine reporting tasks. - Query Gold Layer metric views using SQL and Python in Databricks notebooks to support consistent, governed analytics across brand and commercial use cases. - Leverage Generative AI tools and agentic workflows to automate routine reporting, simplify data summarization, and accelerate delivery of analytical insights to stakeholders. - Participate in stakeholder meetings, contribute to presenting outputs and recommendations, and help translate analytical findings into actionable business decisions. Qualification Required: - Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Sciences, preferably from a Tier-I institute. - Strong learning agility and intellectual curiosity - comfortable picking up new tools and technologies quickly. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through ambiguous, real-world data challenges. - Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across technical and business teams. - Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced analytics environment. - Ability to synthesize data into clear findings and communicate results effectively to business stakeholders. - Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis; experience with Power BI or Tableau for visualization preferred.
