About the role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in improving quality and driving automation strategies in complex technology environments. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect in this role: Role Overview: You will partner with development and cross-functional teams to design, plan, and execute testing strategies ensuring high-quality software products and data delivery. Your focus will be on applying automation and performance testing approaches to support reliable, scalable, and efficient product outcomes, driving quality practices across the development lifecycle, and contributing to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Innovate process improvements to enable efficient delivery and maintenance - Research available tools and lead initiatives to enhance testing capabilities - Develop and execute automated and performance testing for assigned projects - Interact with various teams to plan testing and ensure products meet quality standards - Report issues and results, identify root causes, and document findings - Ensure testing addresses agreed requirements with stakeholders - Conduct project reviews, define review criteria, and implement quality control procedures - Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and best practices implementation Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated ownership for overall product quality and ability to drive quality practices - Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, and process improvement practices - Ability to define test strategies and design comprehensive test scenarios - Programming experience in Java and ability to design automation solutions - Experience testing microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-based applications (AWS) - Knowledge of event-driven systems using Kafka, complex data formats, CI/CD integration, schema validation approaches, and observability tools - Strong collaboration, analytical, and root cause analysis skills focusing on continuous improvement Our company promotes a healthy work/life balance and offers various well-being initiatives, shared parental leave, study assistance, and sabbaticals to help you meet both immediate responsibilities and long-term goals.
