About the role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. - Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform. - Building, optimizing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and fast software delivery. - Operating and supporting applications across the full SDLC, including deployment, monitoring, and incident response. - Implementing and improving observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) to ensure system reliability. - Troubleshooting complex production issues and driving root cause analysis and resolution. - Collaborating with Development and Product teams to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity. - Optimizing cloud usage and contributing to cost efficiency and governance. - Contributing to automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. - Participating in on-call rotations and supporting production systems as needed. - Contributing to shared platform engineering efforts across global DevOps teams. To qualify for this role, you should have: - 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles in a product-based environment. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS. - Solid experience with Kubernetes in production environments. - Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred). - Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins). - Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus, ELK stack). - Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers. - Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, or similar). - Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Good understanding of cloud security, networking, and system design principles. - Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently in a distributed team. - AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.). - Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet). - Familiarity with data systems like PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch. - Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architectures. - Exposure to cost optimization strategies in cloud environments. - Understanding of release management and deployment strategies. - Experience working in large-scale, multi-product environments.
