Role: Quality Engineer (QE & Performance) Location: Pune (Work from Office) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 58 Years About the Role We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE & Performance) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-grade applications through automation testing, API validation, performance benchmarking, and continuous quality engineering practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured (Java). Validate complex REST APIs, JSON schemas, and multi-service business workflows. Develop end-to-end UI automation scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). Create and maintain Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test scenarios using Gauge. Translate business requirements into automated acceptance tests and living documentation. Design and execute high-concurrency performance and load tests using JMeter and K6. Monitor and analyze application performance, including response time, throughput, CPU utilization, memory usage, and database performance. Identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks, including JVM memory issues and database query optimization. Develop automated validation scripts to ensure data consistency across SQL and NoSQL databases after high-load events. Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Contribute to continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives within the SDLC. Required Skills & Experience 58 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Performance Testing. Strong programming experience in Java and Spring Boot. Hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API automation. Experience with Playwright for modern UI automation testing. Proficiency in Gauge (BDD) or similar Behavior-Driven Development frameworks. Strong expertise in JMeter and K6 for performance and load testing. Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL/NoSQL data validation. Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies (Web Components/StencilJS is an advantage). Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON schema validation, and automation best practices. Experience analyzing application performance, resource utilization, and database bottlenecks. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the FinTech domain or other industries where data integrity, security, and scalability are critical. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies. Experience working with enterprise-scale, distributed, or microservices-based applications. .
