About the role
As the Medical Reporting and Analytics Manager at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in supporting Global Medical Affairs by generating data-driven insights that inform scientific engagement, strategic decision-making, and patient-focused strategies. Your leadership and technical expertise will be essential in influencing cross-functional stakeholders and elevating the impact of medical insights globally. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytical solutions for Global Medical Affairs. - Manage and mentor a team of analysts and visualization experts, fostering skill development and innovation. - Conduct data analysis of structured and unstructured sources, translating complex analytics into actionable recommendations. - Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI. - Deliver ad hoc analyses to distill complex medical data into stakeholder-ready insights. - Guide the development of KPIs to track performance and ensure alignment with medical and business objectives. - Oversee data quality and access, collaborating with IT and external partners for governance and platform integration. - Drive standardization and scalability through the development of reusable code components and analytical frameworks. - Participate in Agile workflows, contributing to sprint planning and iterative delivery of analytics solutions. Qualifications Required: - PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience - OR Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience - OR Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Healthcare, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience In addition to the above, you are expected to have experience leading advanced analytics initiatives in biotech or pharmaceutical settings, proficiency in SQL and Python, the ability to build and scale data models for scenario planning, and experience designing executive-level dashboards and visualizations. Strong problem-solving skills, project management experience, and excellent collaboration and communication skills are also essential for this role.
