About the role
Role Overview: As a Principal Engineer I in the oil and gas field, your role will involve design/engineering and project execution of equipment and skid package projects to meet or exceed Customer Expectations. You will be responsible for all aspects of skid order booking and ensuring timely skid execution without deviation. Additionally, flexibility in travel within India, Middle East & Africa will be required for various activities such as training, meetings, FAT, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities. Your responsibility will also include ensuring Environmental Safety & Health across the working area. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with EMERSONs Ethics code and Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards - Collaborate closely with Local and Headquarter Management, Factories, Suppliers, and Customers throughout the complete process of Engineering, Skid Execution, FAT, and Commissioning Support - Prepare and consolidate Basic Engineering documents such as P&ID, wall thickness calculation, line sizing, equipment and valves datasheets, Skid GAD, detailed drawings for piping and structural steel, foundation load drawings, lifting beams, and Bill of Materials creation - Review and approve vendor engineering deliverables including mechanical design calculations, equipment/valve GAD, sizing, datasheets for components, etc. - Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, Cadworks & S3D, Pipe stress analysis CAESAR II, and Structural analysis STAAD PRO - Plan and prepare RFQ and specifications for sub-Suppliers, review vendor quotations, and issue orders - Prepare Skid Technical Documentation, modify/review drawings using AutoCAD, ensure compliance with Customer Technical and Quality requirements - Coordinate with engineering, sub-suppliers, and customer teams, monitor project schedule, work closely with suppliers for timely delivery of Buy-Outs - Identify roadblocks, devise contingency plans, manage project scope and schedule changes, review vendor post-order documentations - Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely submission of documentation and delivery of equipment and materials - Maintain cost, identify potential Contract Variations, work with Supplier and Integrator for material management - Impart expertise and knowledge within the team, share best practices, measure and improve customer satisfaction, inspect and clear Suppliers Invoices Qualifications Required: - Bachelor Engineering Degree in Mechanical with 6-8 years of experience - Fluent English with superior verbal and written communication skills - Exceptional interpersonal skills - Knowledge of PV Elite, CADWORX, Staad Pro, Caesar II, ASME Sec VIII & IX, V, II, ASTM, B31.3, B31.8, B16.34, API 6D & 620 - Experience in Specification and Selection of products for Oil & Gas systems - Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Mechanical Design in skid packages, working with EPC/Consultant Companies in Oil and Gas Industry, projects for major NOCs (Note: Additional details about the company culture and commitment were not provided in the job description) Role Overview: As a Principal Engineer I in the oil and gas field, your role will involve design/engineering and project execution of equipment and skid package projects to meet or exceed Customer Expectations.
