Sr. Engineer - Lab Quality and Calibration

Role & responsibilities Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NABL accreditation requirements Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) Develop, update, and manage key documentation such as quality manuals, procedures, and test records Support and coordinate internal, external, and surveillance audits, including NABL assessments Investigate non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions Monitor and support inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency testing activities Validate and verify test methods to ensure accuracy and reliability Plan, schedule, and oversee calibration activities for all test equipment and instruments Ensure traceability of measurements to national and international standards Maintain calibration records, certificates, and uncertainty budgets Collaborate with accredited external calibration laboratories as required Evaluate calibration results and ensure instruments meet defined tolerances Conduct internal audits and identify risks and improvement opportunities Manage document control systems, including versioning, approvals, and record retention Support training and competency development for laboratory personnel Engage with customers and regulatory bodies to address quality and compliance-related queries Participate in technical discussions and client audits as needed Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 standards and NABL accreditation processes Experience working with laboratory quality systems and calibration management Knowledge of measurement uncertainty and traceability principles Effective documentation, audit handling, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience in NABL-accredited laboratories or similar testing environments Familiarity with EMC, Safety, and Environmental testing standards (such as IEC, CISPR, UL) Certification or formal training in ISO/IEC 17025 Exposure to inter-laboratory comparisons and proficiency testing programs Experience coordinating with external accredited calibration agencies
