About the role
Company Name - ENDEAVOUR AUTOMATION. Job Summary: The VFD and Panel Programmer is responsible for programming, configuring, and troubleshooting Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and control panels. This role includes working on automation projects, performing diagnostics, and providing technical support during installation and commissioning. The candidate should have hands-on experience with industrial control systems, VFD programming, and panel integration. Key Responsibilities: VFD Programming: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot VFD programs for various industrial applications. Configure VFD parameters according to project specifications and application requirements. Integrate VFDs with PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices. Perform tuning and optimization of VFDs for motors to ensure smooth operation and energy efficiency. Control Panel Integration: Design and configure control panels, ensuring proper selection and integration of electrical components (contactors, relays, breakers, PLCs). Program control panels using relevant software to meet automation needs. Work with electrical and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of VFDs with control panels. Installation and Commissioning: Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of VFDs and control panels. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during start-up, ensuring systems are operating as per design. Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients for VFDs and control systems. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including wiring diagrams, programming manuals, and user instructions. Provide reports on system performance, troubleshooting logs, and programming changes. Maintain records of all VFD programming, configurations, and modifications. Client and Team Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure that programming meets project specifications. Work closely with internal teams, including sales, project management, and engineering, to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform functional testing of control systems and VFD programs to ensure they meet project specifications. Conduct system simulations to verify the performance of programmed solutions before deployment. Perform routine testing and calibration to maintain the optimal performance of systems. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in programming, configuring, and troubleshooting VFDs and control panels. Technical Skills: Proficiency in VFD programming (brands such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.). Strong understanding of control panel wiring, electrical components, and system integration. Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.). Experience in diagnosing and resolving control system issues. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and team members. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a project-driven environment. Software Proficiency: Knowledge of programming software for VFDs and PLCs. Familiarity with AutoCAD or EPLAN for control panel design. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). .
