SAP SOM / BRIM Consultant Experience: 8 - 10 Years Location: [Malaysia, Kuala lumpur] Employment Type: [Full-time ] Job Summary We are looking for an experienced SAP SOM (Subscription Order Management) Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in the SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) suite. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SOM solutions, working across subscription order management, contract management, and billing/charging processes. Experience with SAP SD is a good-to-have skill, given the close integration between SOM and traditional order-to-cash processes. Key Responsibilities • Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP SOM within the BRIM landscape • Gather and analyze business requirements for subscription order management, product catalog, and contract management processes • Configure SOM objects including Subscription Orders, Subscription Contracts, Products, and Business Partners • Work closely with Convergent Charging (CC) and Convergent Invoicing (CI) teams to ensure end-to-end process integration • Define and configure integration points between SOM and SD (Sales & Distribution), where applicable, for order and billing processes • Support FICA (Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable) integration for billing and invoicing scenarios • Participate in blueprinting, configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and go-live/support phases • Identify process gaps and propose solutions aligned with BRIM best practices • Prepare functional specifications for custom developments and enhancements • Collaborate with technical teams on RFCs, BAdIs, and enhancements related to SOM/BRIM • Support cutover planning, data migration coordination, and hypercare activities • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, configuration guides, and test scripts Required Skills & Qualifications • 8-10 years of SAP experience with at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations • Strong, hands-on experience in SAP SOM (Subscription Order Management) • Solid understanding of the SAP BRIM suite, including Convergent Charging and Convergent Invoicing • Good understanding of subscription lifecycle management (order creation, amendments, renewals, cancellations) • Knowledge of SOM data structures, product master, and contract objects • Familiarity with S/4HANA environments • Understanding of integration points with FICA and CRM • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Good to Have • Working knowledge of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution), especially order-to-cash and pricing processes • Exposure to SAP CI (Convergent Invoicing) and FICA billing integration scenarios • Experience with data migration tools such as LSMW, BODS, or Migration Cockpit • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies • Basic ABAP debugging skills • SAP certification in SOM, BRIM, or related modules Soft Skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills • Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities
