Big Data Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect for data-driven projects at EPAM, your role will involve designing data analytics solutions using the big data technology stack. You will be responsible for creating and presenting solution architecture documents with deep technical details, working closely with business stakeholders to identify solution requirements, and conducting solution architecture reviews. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of solutions from project requirements to solution deployment and participate in pre-sale activities to engage new clients and drive EPAM's business in the big data space. Key Responsibilities: - Design data analytics solutions utilizing the big data technology stack - Create and present solution architecture documents with detailed technical information - Collaborate with business to identify solution requirements and key case studies for future solutions - Conduct solution architecture reviews and audits, calculate ROI, and present findings - Lead the implementation of solutions from project initiation to "go-live" - Engage in pre-sale activities including direct customer communications, RFP processing, proposal development, and solution architecture presentations - Develop and follow a personal education plan in the technology stack and solution architecture - Stay updated on industry trends and best practices - Assist in engaging new clients to drive EPAM business in the big data space Qualifications Required: - Minimum 12+ years of experience - Strong hands-on experience as a Big Data Architect with a background in Java, Scala, or Python - Experience delivering data analytics projects and architecture guidelines - Proficiency in big data solutions on premises and on the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience with at least one big data technology such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Cassandra, HBase, Accumulo, or Kudu - Knowledge of Agile development methodology, particularly Scrum - Experience in direct customer communications and pre-selling business-consulting engagements within large enterprise environments - Experience in consulting business and pre-sales activities is highly desirable Additional Details: EPAM offers a range of benefits including opportunities to work on challenging technical projects, self-development through online university and external certifications, participation in international platforms, sponsored tech talks and hackathons, unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions, flexibility to relocate for projects, individual development focus, health and retirement benefits, paid time off, and forums for exploring passions beyond work such as CSR, photography, painting, sports, and more.
