As a Lead DB2 LUW DBA, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting critical database environments to ensure seamless operations and data transformations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting production database issues - Building and maintaining HADR environments, such as Primary-Standby and Auxiliary Standby setups - Overseeing cross-platform database migrations, such as AIX to Linux or Windows to Linux - Performing migrations of databases from Windows to Cloud Linux environments with HADR configurations - Conducting regular database health checks, including DB size, HADR status, reorganization status, and log space usage - Executing DB2 LUW version upgrades and managing installations and configurations for versions 10.1/10.5/11.1/11.5 - Designing and maintaining robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines in collaboration with stakeholders - Optimizing data pipelines for high performance, scalability, and reliability - Ensuring data quality, consistency, and traceability across environments - Documenting database architectures, data flows, and transformation logic Qualifications required for this role include: - 9 to 14 years of overall professional experience - Strong expertise with DB2 LUW database administration and technologies like DPF and Blu Acceleration - Comprehensive knowledge of HADR environments and cross-platform database migrations - Proficiency in DB2 LUW versions 10.1, 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, including installations, configurations, and upgrades - Expertise in database backup strategies, including online, offline, compressed, and non-compressed modes - Thorough background in performing database health checks and remediation procedures - Familiarity with data pipeline design and optimization for ingestion, transformation, and scalable processing - Solid understanding of migrating databases to Cloud Linux environments with HADR setups - IBM DB2 certification (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.)
