Batch Management Engineer

As a Batch Job Management Engineer, your role will involve managing and supporting enterprise batch processing environments across mainframe and distributed systems. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and monitoring batch jobs across DEV, UAT, and Production environments. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring batch jobs across DEV, UAT, and Production environments. - Managing batch schedules, dependencies, workflows, calendars, and SLAs. - Monitoring batch execution and troubleshooting job failures. - Performing job restarts, reruns, and recovery activities following established procedures. - Supporting production incidents and driving root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. - Working with application and infrastructure teams during releases and batch onboarding. - Managing Mainframe batch operations using JCL and supporting CICS-related operational activities. - Supporting and monitoring Apache Airflow batch jobs, including DAG scheduling, retries, alerts, and backfills. - Maintaining operational documentation, runbooks, and recovery procedures. - Ensuring compliance with operational controls, audit requirements, and security standards. - Participating in disaster recovery testing and batch recovery exercises. - Communicating batch status, incidents, and recovery plans to stakeholders. Required Skills: - Strong experience in Batch Job Scheduling and Production Control. - Hands-on experience with Mainframe JCL. - Good understanding of CICS operations. - Experience with Apache Airflow (DAG management, scheduling, monitoring, retries, backfills). - Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management, and batch recovery procedures. - Experience managing complex job dependencies and workflows. - Understanding of IT operations, risk controls, and governance processes. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.
