About the role
Role Overview: As the Group Application Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end health, stability, governance, and strategic development of the organization's application landscape. Your role will involve ensuring that enterprise applications effectively support business operations across various functions such as manufacturing, supply chain, finance, customer service, and commercial operations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to maintain reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned applications that meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the enterprise application portfolio, including maintaining application roadmaps, ownership records, criticality assessments, and lifecycle status tracking. - Lead application rationalization and standardization initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity. - Establish and enforce standards for application configuration, release management, and support models. - Assess existing application environments and recommend improvements to enhance performance and maintainability. - Provide leadership and governance for core enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with business processes and data quality. - Prioritize enhancements, plan backlogs, and schedule releases in collaboration with business stakeholders. - Ensure governance over master data, workflows, user roles, and integrations. - Support manufacturing and operational systems to ensure efficient business operations. - Coordinate application releases to minimize disruption and ensure successful deployment. - Ensure consistency in application management practices while accommodating valid business requirements. Qualification Required: - Demonstrated experience in managing business-critical enterprise applications within complex organizational environments. - Strong understanding of enterprise application ecosystems, including ERP systems, manufacturing applications, integration platforms, and business support applications. - Experience in managing application lifecycles from implementation through optimization, enhancement, and retirement. - Ability to assess application risks, resilience, and technical debt, and develop practical improvement plans.
