About the role
As a Sr. Service Engineer at Epiroc, your role involves ensuring safety, compliance, and workplace standards are adhered to. You will drive a ZEROINJURY culture by implementing housekeeping, 5S, SOP, SMP, and safety standards at all work locations. Participation in workplace safety audits, hazard identification, and SHE incident reporting with corrective actions is crucial. Your technical service execution responsibilities include performing daily, scheduled, breakdown, and corrective maintenance activities to achieve targeted availability, MTTR, and MTBF. Leading advanced troubleshooting for CANBUS, hydraulic, and electrical systems on surface drill rigs and HEMM is essential. Conducting RCA, FMEA, failure analysis, and implementing improvement actions are part of your duties. Implementing predictive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime is key. Monitoring fleet performance, machine health, and operational KPIs, and ensuring optimum availability of critical components, floats, and subassemblies fall under fleet, operations & asset optimization. Strengthening preventive maintenance discipline, backlog management, and statutory compliance is also crucial. Managing technical interactions with key customers, ensuring timely complaint resolution, supporting contract execution under AMC, FMSC, and providing detailed shift, daily, and monthly technical reports are part of your customer & contract support responsibilities. Guiding service technicians and channel partner teams in best practices, conducting technical training and skillupgradation programs, and supporting manpower planning and shift operations are part of your team leadership & capability building duties. Participating in Kaizen and AO initiatives, using data analysis to improve reliability, safety, and performance indicators, and ensuring accurate documentation of complaints and maintenance logs are essential for continuous improvement & reporting. Your Skills & Competencies should include strong technical competency in hydraulic, electrical, and CANBUS systems, excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office, strong communication, customer focus, and leadership ability, and high discipline in safety, documentation, and operational procedures. Qualifications required for this role are BE / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 6-10 years of experience in servicing HEMM, surface drill machines, or related heavy equipment, and experience with reliability engineering and predictive maintenance tools.
