About the role
As a Quality Engineer at Equifax, you are passionate about quality and ensuring a positive customer experience for the products you test. You have the expertise to develop and execute test plans to verify requirements, while also playing a crucial role in the development and testing of high priority initiatives. Your responsibilities include conducting quality control tests, creating test files, identifying and implementing changes to enhance QA strategies, and collaborating with various teams to deliver QA services effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Independently develop scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks for testing software solutions - Specify and automate test scenarios and test data for complex business requirements - Develop regression suites and automation scenarios, transitioning to an agile continuous testing model - Collaborate proactively with key stakeholders in Product, Development/Engineering, and Technology Operations Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or equivalent experience - 5-7 years of software testing experience - Proficiency in writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in Java, Springboot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS - Experience in creating and reviewing test automation according to specifications - Familiarity with big data processing solutions and software validation techniques - Strong understanding of test strategies and plans, including leading complex testing efforts or projects - Hands-on experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies and plans - Design and development skills in microservices using Java, Springboot, and GCP SDKs - Knowledge of deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code concepts - Cloud Certification is strongly preferred The job description also highlights various Success Profile skills that could set you apart, including Attention to Detail, Automation, Collaboration, Execution, Quality Control, Quality Focus, and Risk Mitigation.
