As a Senior Manager for UNIX & Cloud Operations at our company, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of engineers responsible for UNIX/Linux platforms in various environments. Your role will involve a mix of people leadership, technical ownership, and ensuring operational governance for secure and resilient infrastructure. Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing a team of UNIX/Linux and cloud engineers, overseeing their performance, career development, and succession planning. Additionally, you will own the end-to-end operations for UNIX/Linux platforms across on-premises, private cloud (OpenShift/OpenStack), and public cloud (Azure/OCI). Building cloud-ready skills within the team, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement, and ensuring the availability and resilience of cloud-hosted workloads will be crucial aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Line management for UNIX/Linux and cloud engineers - Own operations for UNIX/Linux platforms across different environments - Build cloud-ready skills within the team - Foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement - Ensure availability, performance, capacity planning, and resilience of cloud-hosted workloads - Lead incident response for cloud-based outages and hybrid failures - Manage change, incident, problem, and availability management - Manage cloud vendors, service providers, and support contracts Qualifications Required: - Proven people-management experience in a 24x7 operations environment - Strong grasp of ITIL processes and cloud operational best practices - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and crisis leadership skills - Strong skills in automation - Advanced expertise in administering RHEL, SUSE, AIX, Solaris - Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, OpenStack, OCI - Deep understanding of cloud environments, IAM, cloud security, and migration strategies - Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization About the Company: Joining our team at Ericsson will provide you with an outstanding opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible.
