About the role
Role Overview: ERM, a leading global sustainability consulting firm with a commitment to helping organizations navigate complex environmental, social, and governance challenges, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their Global Delivery Centre (GDC) in India. The role focuses on enabling fast, secure, and reliable software delivery across ERM's digital products by building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and cloud-based release processes. As part of the GDC team, you will collaborate with international teams, leverage emerging technologies, and contribute to ERM's mission of driving sustainable impact. Key Responsibilities: - Build, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins to ensure fast and repeatable delivery. - Implement automated build, testing, packaging, and deployment workflows across multiple environments. - Support release processes including blue/green, rolling, and canary deployments in cloud environments. - Work with architects and engineers to implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) patterns using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tooling. - Support environment provisioning, configuration, and deployment of application components. - Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure visibility and reliability of production systems. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 5+ years experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud automation roles. - Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in production environments. - Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins for pipeline design and automation. - Understanding of cloud deployment models and release strategies (AWS/Azure). - Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep) and configuration management. - Knowledge of Docker/containerization and experience supporting container-based deployments. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.). - Strong understanding of secure DevOps practices, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
